I've been doing research (if you could call watching Mental Outlaw that) on online privacy and anonymity for a little over a week now. I have a lot of other skills that have probably gotten me on a watchlist by now under my belt, but still have no idea the first thing about pretty much anything. Please help me by answering any of the below questions you can. Speak to me like i'm four, I have no idea what i'm doing (and I mean seriously, I didn't know what a CPU was last week).
1. Would you recommend Qubes/Whonix, or tails for a beginner to opsec? What are some good resources to learn how to use and stay anonymous on both (Mostly how to use qubes os)?
2. What are some common ways people get caught? Especially the most simple that might be overlooked (metadeta, javascript enabled, etc)
3. What is the best way to run Kali linux? A VM? What are some good opsec practices for staying safe? What are some easy and fun exploits that I should learn as a noob?
4. What is the safest way to connect to internet? Public wifi? Home wifi or ethernet? Hacked wifi? A yagi antenna?
5. What is the best hardware to get to learn basic hacking? I was thinking either a wifi pineapple from Hak5 or an alfa wifi adapter, but I have no idea what im doing.
6. What are some good ways to prevent tracking/data collection in a new car (2015-2025) is it even possible? I was thinking about removing the SIM but I have no idea what other potential attack vectors might be.
7. Is there anyway to 3d print completely anonymously? Open source 3d printer, with a safe and secure way to transfer or create files.
8. In a virtual machine, is it safe to click links and download files? Or is it still a security risk? Also do I need to worry about changing Mac addresses, IP addresses, and other things?
9. Assuming an incredibly high-level adversary as your primary threat model what is the most ideal/perfect (if there is such a thing) setup?
10. What are somethings to do/look at on TOR? and whats the best piece of advice you're willing to give out for free?
Thank you!
TLDR: I'm bad, help.

You have a lot of questions.
Too many for a person to sit and answer.
Some of them are very poorly informed.
Just stick around and read for a while.
It will all come together.

As /u/HeadJanitor writes please break down your post so people have a chance to reply.
However, based on your questions:
1) you should stick to Tails for now
2) mixing private with darknet
3) for learning you should run kali in a vm and also run the training targets in vm's. Disconnect the host from network so you don't leak out that your are learning how to become a hacker.
4) Safest is free WiFi from dinners, coffe shops with low IT-security. Avoid public WiFi (McDonalds, startbucks, airports, libraries, etc.) due to surveillance where WiFi, cameras, POS, door systems, etc. are interlinked and logged for substantial time. Use a Yagi-antenna, change position often, blend in with students and remote workers, use cash only. Use Tor or Tor bridges. Alternatively, if you accept to be exposure, use a SIM-router.
5) Post at /d/hacking
6) Long topic...
7) Buy 3D-printer anonymously with cash/monero. Buy a model that does not have WiFi/Bluetooth. Install drivers and other needed software far away from your home. Use 3D-printer offline only. The filament and printed models is not known to add secret/hidden identifiers (opposite from color printers)
8) Long topic...
9) Long topic... (however consider 1 for now and learn how to do this)
10) Long topic... But, do not trust anybody, especially your self! Be alert and learn!
